Doncaster Custom Show Sunday 2

I had done my multi trip round all the cars and now did a very slow proper look round. Dave Rothwell's Flying 12 was just mind blowing that guy is a bloody genius and proof Aliens do walk amongst us, that is my only explanation to why he should have so much talent.

Little slight alterations (read major work) like 2 dooring a 4 door and a little cut here a bend there a tweak in more places and you have the shape perfect. if ya Dave Rothwell that is.

Just check out the rear bumpers and exhaust outlet.

The dash, well the whole interior was astounding. Apparently the original wheel was cut into 12 pieces then stuck back together smaller and a new ally one was cast from that.. the gauges are original but made to look new stunning

The grill work and front bumpers... well what can you say.. sheer genius.

Yet more genius is the use of a T5 Volvo drive train.

And here is the Genius himself Dave Rothwell.

Fresh out from the incredible talent of Tim Hammond, a 34 Coupe (33 grill) commissioned by Calum Anderson. Calum gave Tim the brief and Tim interpreted Calum's dream Coupe into reality. 383 stroker SBC powers this stunning car.

Incredible interior from Neil Tadman and panel work by Tim Hammond ooze class and function.

A better view of the door inserts, stunning workmanship. the underneath is truly superb and perfect in every way and does all work without fault. Calum cant praise the car or Tim enough he says it drives perfect in every way.

Sorry shit photo but believe me this interior, from the dash to the seat from the carpet to the headlining is mouth dribblingly lust worthy, yes I would sh*g this car and not care if anyone found out;o Another Best in Britain from the incredible engineering work of Tim Hammond

Now for the interlude:

Yes there was something for everyone, the girls had to stop posing while this guy got them some sweeties from his coupe. One of the girls dropped a mint imperial down her top but it was soon found. I took these photo's and my miss's went nuts, what ya doing what ya taking photos for ya dirty old man.... they are only little girls..... Little girls??? the rest is true.. but dirty old men need love to ya know!!! Ya never know they may fantasize about fat old men... eh. ;o)

This guy couldn't quite see the girls good enough so had to stand on this old cars rear wheel and phone his mate to ask some tall people at the front to move please..

The moment Calum found out his Rod had won Best in Britain. I had an inkling it was his after Fletch got 2nd and Dave Rothwell got 3rd... but as it was announced the bugger turned so all I got was this shot of his back.. but trust me he was gob smacked..

Here they are all the Best in Britain winners on stage, John Price (MC) Rothy (stripped shirt) Fletch (with 2 trophies greedy bugger) Cliff Moore....er dunno.. then Calum and a fit bird on the end... where else ;o)

Well that was pretty much it, a great way to spend a couple of days, met some great people and saw some awesome cars in a different environment than a Rod Run. As always John Price made the show feel very professional and we had a very wet but still great drive home, the Truck drove perfect... Noticed my oil leak was back and prayed my truck hadn't marked the spot where it had sat in the show at Donny..... Mind you I will just blame it on the Johnny Vegas car instead...... Be seeing You
