The 2001 Hot/Street Rodding season starts here:
NSRA Southern Swap Meet went off as planned held at
Arena Essex oval race track.
It was very busy as always but not as many stalls as last year. The weather was very cold and even snowed! Plenty of Ford Populars for sale ranging from the original one which belongs to Winston who was on "wheels" (Men & Motors) with his 2door MK 4 Tina, to a X Outlaw Anglia all ready to race. There was some lovely looking V8 flat head engine's up for grab , One just being loaded into some guy's Sierra estate (That would do that some good). All the usual top stall's were also there , including Pop Brown, Sol Cal, Pop Parts Plus and many more.
Neat Model A of Warren (Wal) Rochford dropped headlight bar looks well as
does the Rad Ornament. It is the attention to detail that makes a Rod look
finished like the Cowl lights, fuel filler and step boards that all work
well together Arch gap is tight and makes for a perfect stance *Beauty!!*
Resto Nostalgia? similar Theme to the Wal's Model A above and looks just as Fine
with the Red Steels and whitewalls 32 Bumpers and tank finish look superb *Nice*!!!
Update this beautiful 32 B is owned by Mike Noble from Plymouth and he had a 6hr
drive to get to swap meet and most of it in the Snow set off at 9-30pm the night
before and had a 2hr kip in the B he says it was all worth it.. Now that is someone who
loves to drive his Rod!! As he says if ya live in Devon you have got to be into
driving your Rod!! Oh and No he doesn't have a Heater Brrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!
