I couldn't make it to wheels day, so I am afraid I cant
really write owt about it. Just look at the photos Dave Crees so kindly sent me.
Top one on the title is thee man himself Kev Rooney taking the A as the Kapri isn't
quite finished yet but he vows he will do all the runs this year he did in the A
last year in the Kapri this and vise versa!
Stunning Flamed A of Mark Grant's has contradictions that work great 60's flames
and 2000 Billet wheels just do it don't they. Contrasting nicely is the more nostalgia
Black A green steels with matching green rockers and pan lift this one a treat,
not to mention the side exiting headers......... Hey I said not to mention them!
Plain no nonsense Deuce looks like it can be used without much worry and (Ian Mocket's) I think old pick up looks the part with the chequered flames must of taken an age but well worth it. They give it a proper 60's California USA look, shame he has to use rear fenders though eh! Same as the deuce they do spoil the lines enormously but I guess the period look crossplies easy make up for them on the Pickup..
This A I think is new, well new to me anyhow, I love the colour and it looks like it sits nice from this angle. Black Deuce Highboys just shout Hot Rod and must be a Buzz riding open top with ya V8 Rumbling and your quiff blowing in the wind see what I mean about the look of a fenderless deuce they just don't look right any other way........
Not 100% sure who's Hi-Tec 32 this is but to me it is the
style of Highboy I would like to own though looking closer maybe it aint as
Hi-Tec as I first thought. It appears to have a drop tube on it *hum*
flames, paint and wheel tyre combo give the impression of a very Hi-Tec Rod but
I guess the owner couldn't bring himself to make it totally a modern Street Rod
and wanted to keep a little sniff of Hot Rod in there aswell *nice one*
Another 3 holed Pop/Anglia ;>) just when you thought there was only one of
them in the country we are now seeing them all over the place *smile*
Another Sports Saloon eh! Man they are getting common now and the build on this
looks like it is a beauty must check it out when I see it, gotta keep an eye on
the competition.......... Ya Know!!!
41 Willys looks like a P J Pitman willy's replica Cool!!
Well sorry its not a proper write up and this is the best I can do seeing as I weren't there, but stay tuned as I do intend doing a few runs this season once I can get my 34 on the road for more than a day.. You know how it is, you think if I just change this and that it will be perfect well yeah, I am that soldier...... its new axle this time with a more sensible diff ratio only been back on the road one day after a 7 month rebuild.........but Hey what a day!!
