Wow what a ride of emotions the last few week have been. From being totally pissed off and down in the dumps big time to now being as excited as a little kid waiting for Christmas.

It has been a mad rush to get the chassis rolling so I could get it up to Long Lane Garage to get the cab fitted. All the parts that needed painting was mind blowing, I did several late night until around 1:30am but I still didnt meet the deadline, I still have just a few bits left to put into black but I have broken its back now and it holds no mystery to me as to how I have to spray them. Here is a pic of the front end all finished, with all new bushes, balljoints, track rod ends, antiroll bar and bushes, and all or mostly all new bolts or nuts.

Here is just an idea of what goes into the Jaguar rear suspension, this is only part of it and part one of the spraying. Cleaning it all up was soul destroying and that was when I was at my lowest.

Here is part two of the rear suspension.

And part three was a few ancillaries and brackets.

Now was the almost enjoyable time putting the IRS back into shape. It had two shims before the disc's when I stripped it so two shims it was getting now.

And two more after the diff, I think you add more or less here for camber.

The bottom arms now fitted were stainless safety wired.

And also the top diff mounts that were also loctited in place first.

Here it is at last all assembled with new bearings, Hardy Spicers, bushes and rubbers where needed. and mostly new bolts and all new nuts. I really enjoyed fitting the iron (ally) cross and the stainless Pike nuts looks cool as firk to me and makes me smile every time I look at it ;o) look see I am doing it again. I wanted to polish the diff cover and the hubs but one I didn't have time the other I couldn't be arsed. Well I missed the Thursday deadline and so now had to take time off work which was a bugger.

It did give me time to paint more stuff and get them cab mount holes drilled that I stupidly welded up.

I finally managed to drill them bang on and here I trail fitted them just to make sure..

Well it was the following Thursday that it was finally a roller and Steve up at Long Lane Garage was ready for me. he picked it up around 10am, was supposed to be early Morning but it didn't happen

Up at the garage it took some jiggery pockery but the cab did finally get mated to the chassis and I started smiling and I haven't stopped since ;o) see, Steve does look serious here don't he.

At last the rolling cab was sited in my garage, and an old Banger mate came up and helped me fit the new screen and he made it look so easy it flew in sorted, Now is why I am so happy, two jobs that were worrying me to bits was how were we going to mount the cab without scratching it and what if I broke the new screen? I think if it had broken that would of been the end of it all, certainly for a very long time maybe even for ever.. but it didn't happen and I am having a few night off as I am at work 7days a week now until Christmas but come Monday I shall get a few hours in a night to get the bed sorted for paint.. Yeeha
