Page 19 and it's now 2007

I still feel pretty pissed off about life and long for the enthusiasm to return I gotta get this Truck done this year no matter what and the task of getting it prepped and painted is doing me nut in. How the hell I am going to get the cab up to the paint shop and get it painted under over and side, then mounted back on the chassis unscathed. I cant work out.. Hum?
But I still have a month or two to come up with a solution yet so I will shelve thinking about that for a week or two yet.
I have pretty much done the inner wings now, I had to cut out a bloody awful battery box that was splattered into the inner wing in the US and make good the cut out shapes that I did for the IFS. I was going to simply stone chip the engine bay for ease and laziness, but I have been talked out of it though it may get a none shiny finish if I get real bored doing the bulkhead flatting.

This shows the start on the passenger side inner wong and the battery tray removal tacked in.

I tacked the drivers side inner wing front suspension cover in place with the clutch cable steady bolted up. This shot shows the LPG electric fuel tap and vaporizer bracketed up and fit to the inner wing now in the right plane.

I just had to make a simple steady for the main LPG feed from the vaporizer to the mixer that fits on top of the carb veer a saucepan ;o)

You can see the saucepan in these photos, I had to put a slight kink into the rad support bars to clear the Air Filter and Servo.

I am smoothing out the cab by removing the panel seams, here the drivers side cowl seem has been welded up and ground flat ready for some filler. Then it was time to remove the fresh air heater supply vents (louvers).

I first marked carefully Ha Ha me being careful that will be the day! But as careful as I am capable I marked and cut out with an air cutter the vent. Then I laid on some paper over the hole so I could trace or do a rubbing of it to transfer to metal for an accurate patch, that was welded in and skimmed with filler.

I am not to sure about this latest Mod, I put the washer nozzles up in the top cab corner *Hum?*... not even sure they will work and hit the screen yet or even if they just look quirky not cool as I want??? I may move to the cowl but I hate seeing nozzles there it just breaks up the lines ??? I gotta give that some more looking at yet. So while in the throws of some Kustom touches how about cutting the grill up... oh no here we go again!!!!!!
Well my idea is to set the centre section back an inch or so so when viewed from the side the headlamps (bug eyes) can be seen but the centre grill is not so obvious. maybe a nice touch maybe a waste of time ;o) we'll see.. well that's about as far as I have got at now. It is just filling and flatting ready to go to the paint shop... I haven't even picked the shade of Gold I want yet... I think soon I am going to be up to my eyes in making final decisions and then it will be either just as I envisaged it or it will look like a great big gold Turd!!
